Hey Folks I am trying to buy used car. I am during my research phase. While doing my research I figure it out it is very important to run VIN number in order to find out the history of the car. I try to google to find out if there are any sites for FREE vin check. It sounds like I have to pay some $$$ inorder to get the HISTORY.. Folks if you have any knowledged or idea bout how to get FREE VIN HISTORY or any suggestions I would be really appreciate it. VIN NO: 2T1BR12E0XC102864 Why to pay Extra $40.00 if I can get for free no?

i think the only legitimate site is carfax.com if you're buying from the dealer, most of the time, if you ask they'll give you that report, or even when you're buying from a private party, they should be albe to give it to you, coz you as a buyer have a right to know the history of car. so ask with them to provide you with a carfax report.
