I am not selected in the H1B lottery for this year. And, I am in extened OPT. What happens if I do not get my name in the next year??? What would be the options?? I have a master degree? Help!!!!!!

this is somewhat related question.. To qualify for masters quota, would one have to have already graduated. I probably defend my masters thesis by april, but i am going to start working from December on OPT. If I fail to defend by April, would they know, or would I be eligible under masters quota? Thanks
