The State Department is scheduled to notify the winners of DV-2009 by mail begiinning from May 2008, which is about 10 days or two weeks away from now. The DV-2009 winners should apply for either I-485 applications or immigrant visa applications beginning from October 1, 2008 and such immigrant visas or status must be granted by September 30, 2009.

That's not true! the notification has already been sent for more than 50% of the selected participants by now. The first notification this year was received in April 6th 2008.

And, the selected members have to go through either Consular Processing or AOS (if they are already in USA, by submitting I 485).

I would appreciate if you could you be precise and point us to a more credible website where you have found such information and not just from a blog of some sort??? My source still say that it won't be until the first week of May before we start hearing about the winners for DV-2009.
