Hi - I have a feeling my problem is pretty simple but since its the first time I'm facing it not sure ... would be great if someone can help.

I work in a Delhi based IT firm (been living here for 7 yrs), the company is planning to send me to our HQ in US for maybe 3-6 mnths and thereafter to Europe to work there. I have a Nepali passport. The company will itself be applying for the visa for me, will I have any prob / will the US embassy here ask me/my company to get it processed from Ktm US embassy only ... any idea how these things work ....

Thanks

You can ask your company to do the consular procesing from Embasy in Kathmandu. Its upto the company.

NorthPoint,

If a company is requesting for a visa for you for the company's interest, you can surely apply from any country--moreover, the company is based in and you work in India and not in Nepal. However, if it's you applying for yourself for a pleasure travel then you are advised to go and apply from your native country although it is not a requirement.
