why bother to register wasting your valuable 10 seconds for someone who is not even from the same place that you are, right?

I am not sure why this is a big deal. People advocate about it all the time. First of all, these internet polls are very vulnerable to be biased. Most people will only vote if they are related somehow to the candidate: country wise, interest wise etc. There are plenty of votes to chose which horse manure is best looking, you wouldn't go vote on it would you?

You have to take everything in context. Don't think that just because Indians outnumbered every voters in the world, Amitabh Bachhan is the biggest celebrity in the world. Internet votes are vulnerable to this kind of lopsided results and cannot be cited as a fair medium of judging anything.
