 suggestion please about tax filing

I am a F1 student.One of my frens is trying to file his tax.He had done some kind of business not being in status. He is not in any kind of status right now but he is in the process of getting green card. He is trying to show me as his dependent.If he does that he will get good amount of tax return other wise he wont get anything. Since he is out of status right now , should i help him for that. Will it bother me in future? Please give me some suggestion....

Bro:
Why don't you check yourself if he can do that, I mean you will be qualified as his dependent.

There are certain rules, please get 1040 instruction and have a study and please let us know what it says.
