 F1 status after AP entry with expired F1 visa

Hi,
I am currently on OPT, F1 visa expired, planning to start Masters from Fall 2017.

I am planning to go to Nepal and return with AP not worrying about renewing my F1 visa.

What will happen to my F1 status, will I be on F1 student in university and get OPT/H1 etc in future.

My DSO says once I enter with AP without F1 valid visa, I will be paroled and my sevis automatically gets terminated, and my university will no longer consider me as an international student.

Totally lost...

Please share your thoughts on this....thanks

i do not think there will be any problem for getting student visa. These days you do not even need to make many documents.
